Hey, don't fret. I don't think you'll get kicked off the internet or anything. You're certainly not the first innocent to wander into a cyberswamp. It probably won't make you feel any better, but here's a brief explanation about hotlinking.
My suggestion: (1) Simply go back and edit your posts to remove improperly linked images. (2) Find open source images to use instead by looking in Yahoo Creative Commons Search, Flickr, somewhere else that has free media, or make your own images. (3) Then learn how to properly include them in your blog.
We're all learning together. Stay with it!
